Here's a refreshing idea: It is my opinion that “packages” rhymes with “hostages”.

Therefore, rather than act like a traditional studio that forces customers to select among their own pictures as to which ones they are allowed to keep, I find it more businesslike to give you ALL of your prints, all of your negatives, and all of your images on CD as well.

Here's how the structure works: I photograph your wedding or event in detail and with care, taking as many photographs as it takes to do a phenomenal job. The day following your wedding I bring all of the exposed film to a professional lab that I have worked with for many years and they will process the film for you. The custom prints (5” x 5”) and negatives are ready for you to pick up in just one week. You would be responsible for the developing costs. Those charges are currently $11.50/roll. There are 12 exposures to a roll. The average amount of film used is about 5 to 7 rolls per hour.

Every negative is printed with a unique identifying number that correlates to the print with the same number. This feature makes selecting your negatives a breeze. My lab now offers high resolution digital files of your images for only $3.50 more per roll. This means that for only $15.00 per roll, total, you get all of your prints, all of your negatives, AND all of your images on CD. This is truly an incredible offer!

The prints and negatives can be picked up in person or Fedex’d to you. By picking them up yourself you can make acquaintance with the owners of the laboratory, which then provide you with enlargements at nominal costs: 5" x 5" = $2.00; 8" x 10" = $7.00, 11" x 14" = $20.00, 16” x 20” = $40.00,etc. You benefit greatly because this works out to tremendous savings. Additionally, you don't have to choose which prints you want because they are ALL yours. If you should relocate you can simply take everything with you and have reprints made at a lab closer to your new home. You don’t have to worry about locating your photographer and making sure that you are ordering the correct picture because you have everything with you and can oversee the entire process.

The rate for coverage for medium-format FILM photography is $250.00 per hour with unlimited locations. On certain dates or at certain times of year a minimum amount of hours may apply. Travel charges may also apply for travel outside of the immediate San Francisco Bay Area. The fee includes all of my time, equipment, and film.

Exclusive medium format 2 1/4" Hasselblad cameras with Carl Zeiss lens and the finest hi-tech lighting are utilized. The use of such true professional equipment ensures that you are receiving unquestionably the highest quality images available. My firm belief is that if you are looking for true professional photography one of the most important necessities is true professional equipment and not amateurish-professional equipment. The finest resolution and highest quality prints can only be obtained if your photographer uses medium format cameras with profesional grade film and not 35mm.

There is a huge and very noticeable difference in quality between medium-format and 35mm. Here's why: medium format negatives are three times the size of the smaller 35mm negatives. However, the resolution that medium format packs over 35mm is exponential. Additionally, Carl Zeiss lens are head and shoulders above anything else available. Therefore, the combination of medium-format film with Carl Zeiss lens guarantees that the resolution and clarity of your images will be signature brand.

Digital is here! If you prefer digital, I also offer professional digital services utilizing Nikon brand cameras, lens, and lighting. Digital service costs $200 per hour and I provide you with all of your images recorded in high resolution files on CDs. With my digital cameras it will be possible to easily print up to exquisite 16" x 20" prints. My featured labs provide you with the highest quality prints and friendly customer service.

I also offer dual coverage in any format or any combination of formats that you prefer for. The coverage for having an additional professional photographer is $200.00 per hour.

A wide variety of albums ranging from traditional to contemporary and ultra-modern digital are available at an additional variable cost.


Engagement sessions, love portrait sessions, group sessions, and family sessions are also available: These Sessions last for two hours, features up to three locations and typically includes about one-hundred and fifty images. You can chose between medium-format film, digital, or any combination of your preference. The cost for an engagement session is $250.00. Similarly to a wedding your prints, negatives, and CD would be ready in one week and you pick them up and pay the laboratory directly for the processing. As always, with Franco you keep every image and all of your negatives and electronic files.
